Safe Doesnt Lock

I cannot count the number of times THIS happens:

Customer calls: Hi, I cant get into my safe!

Me: have you been having trouble with it for long?

customer: yes, Its been acting up for for some time, but yesterday, I couldnt lock it, so I slammed the door really hard!, but now it wont open!
